Business Degree Applications

I really want a business degree. Ive applied to five different institutions. Ive been turned down by one of them and Im waiting on replies from the other four. I think that at least two of them will accept me. My undergraduate grade point average was 3.5.

I decided a long time ago that I was going to pursue a business degree. I took the GMATs and I scored really well. Im not sure I scored well enough to go to Harvard University, but I think I scored well enough to go to Yale University. That is actually my second choice. I really want to go to Stanford.

I think that with a business degree from MIT, I could get a fantastic job with any Fortune 500 company. I have dreamed of living in New York my whole life. I should go out of state for college, but I cant decide to leave Massachusetts and not go to MIT or Boston University. If MIT or Boston University accepts me, Ill be thrilled.

Two of the schools I applied to are in New York. My parents would be supportive if Columbia accepted my application to earn a business degree. The application process has been very difficult because I have lived in Massachusetts all of my life and feel very comfortable here. Im not sure I would like Texas, even if the University of Texas in Austin accepted me.

I visited the University of Colorado with my mom last year. She liked the school and thought that I would enjoy living in Boulder while I studied for my business degree. Im not sure that the Boulder lifestyle is really for me. I went to Boulder only one other time than the time I visited with my mom. That was with my best friend and we thought that the people there were way too health conscious.

There was one school I applied at that I actually hope I do not get accepted to. I only applied at Florida State because my great aunt requested that I do so. I just dont want to get my business degree in Florida. The only thing that I think Florida has going for it is its beautiful beaches.

My dad got his business degree at Temple University in Pennsylvania and he wants me to get mine there as well. Im just going to wait and see the results of all my applications before I start packing anything. For all I know, my GMAT score and my high school GPA are going to mean nothing and Ill end up at the University of Toledo.

Im getting more and more excited every day. Ill keep checking the mail until my answers arrive. I just want to know where Ill be living next and start the work on the business degree. I think I will make my parents very proud.
