Robert Byrd Scholarship program

This is a program supported by the Secretary of Education, through your State. 

It offers scholarships to academically gifted students to enable them to continue with their education.

Scholarship Criteria

To be eligible for the program you must :-

• graduate from a public or private secondary school
• have applied to an institution for higher education
• you must be a legal resident in your state
• be a permanent resident of the United States

There may be additional requirements in your State regarding educational attainment - for the latest information check out www.ed.gov or your States website.

The awards are worth up to $1500 for every year of student -and can be renewed for up to three extra years, providing you continue to meet the eligibility requirements.
